The National
Orientation Agency (NOA), has say that its had translated the Freedom of
Information Act (FOIA) into Hausa, lgbo, Yoruba and 20 other Nigerian
indigenous languages to promote transparency and accountability for good
governance process.
The Director
General of NOA, Dr. Garba Abari, made known at the stakeholder’s dialogue with
the chief executives officer of different agencies and parastatals of
government on the theme: “evaluate the application of the Freedom of
Information Act and its impact on national development” in Abuja.
Abari said, “It is
our hope that this review will enable us all as stakeholders to assess the
implementation and impact of the FOIA in various public institutions and allow
