U.S. moves to cut Huawei off from global chip suppliers

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Trump administration on Friday moved to block shipments of semiconductors to Huawei Technologies from global chipmakers, in an action ramping up tensions with China.

The U.S. Commerce Department said it was amending an export rule to "strategically target Huawei’s acquisition of semiconductors that are the direct product of certain U.S. software and technology."

The reaction from China was swift with a report saying it was ready to put U.S. companies on an "unreliable entity list," as part of countermeasures in response to the new limits on Huawei, China's Global Times reported on Friday |||READ MORE


NCC Deactivates 2.2m Improperly Registered SIM Cards


The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has completely deactivated 2.2 million Improperly registered Subscriber Identification Module (SIM) Cards across Telecommunication networks nationwide.

The Executive Vice Chairman (EVC), NCC, Prof. Umar Danbatta, made this known in a statement signed by Dr Henry Nkemadu, Director, Public Affairs in Abuja.

NOA Translate FOIA Into Indigenous Languages For Transparency, Accountability



The National Orientation Agency (NOA), has say that its had translated the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) into Hausa, lgbo, Yoruba and 20 other Nigerian indigenous languages to promote transparency and accountability for good governance  process.

The Director General of NOA, Dr. Garba Abari, made known at the stakeholder’s dialogue with the chief executives officer of different agencies and parastatals of government on the theme: “evaluate the application of the Freedom of Information Act and its impact on national development” in Abuja.

FG pegs number of SIM cards Per mobile phone user to three
