How Do You Remove A Watch Strap Without The Tool?

A watch is such an accessory that has a universal fan base. Its use is not restricted to anyone which makes it a popular jewelry type. And while the main device can last for years, the straps or watch bands tend to wear off and need replacement. Unfortunately, it is a costly affair to get them replaced at a store.

The good thing is, this task can be conducted at home with a few simple steps. So, whether you are changing the strap because it has become time-worn or simply to alter its look, consider doing it yourself. You would be saving quite a few bucks!

And we are here to guide you in that very process.

Leather Watch Strap Removal

1. Settling the watch

Grab a soft towel or cloth and fold it evenly, such that the watch can rest on it. Set this down on top of a table or counter-top and drop the watch on the soft material.

Make sure the face of the dial is in contact with the cloth, meaning it will be laid upside down on its face. The cloth or towel will cushion the exterior of the watch from any unwanted damage like scratches or nicks |||READ MORE

A Look at Life Being Both Black and Gay in America Right Now

Very often, powerful stories are told with a cisgender white person at the forefront. They’re the main attraction, the voice of the people, meant to command attention and appeal to the general audience with their POV. But it’s been made clear, time and time again, that just won’t cut it anymore.

Even within the LGBTQ+ community, a group made up of beautiful, strong-willed gay, lesbian, queer, trans, and nonbinary individuals, those of color are frequently seen more in that supporting-type role than capable of having that lead perspective.

The progress and power of the Black Lives Matter movement, coming to the forefront during a month meant to represent love and equality, frankly couldn’t have coincided at a more appropriate time. For Dominic and Nick Spence, a black and queer married couple with a prominent social following, they believe “it is important as two Black gay men to see the intersections of our struggles championed by the broader LGBTQ+ movement.” |||READ MORE

A DRIVE TO NOWHERE

A little over two weeks ago, Sean suggested that we go for a ride to nowhere and put on clothes as if we were going somewhere. I was a bit hesitant because I thought the suggestion was a little silly as I’m perfectly OK with wearing only lounge wear during this time. But also because being outside at any given time was making me incredibly anxious.

The thing is that I am fully aware that getting fresh air while practicing social distancing is perfectly fine but try convincing my worrisome self. It was difficult getting me to relax while I was outside even while I was doing all I could to be safe.

I told myself that I did not want this time in life to create a problem where I was afraid to go outside because I was finding myself making all sorts of excuses not to take our dogs for walks, etc. I reluctantly agreed |||READ MORE ….

Is It Safe To Order Takeout During The Coronavirus Outbreak?

As the coronavirus continues to spread, restaurants across the country are shutting their doors to dine-in customers (and sometimes being forced to do so). Every place from P.F. Chang’s to Chipotle is sending out emails to patrons offering free delivery and ensuring guests that they are taking proper precautions to adhere to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention coronavirus containment guidelines. Postmates and DoorDash are offering contactless drop-off options and lower delivery fees. And grocery stores are continuously restocking their shelves.

But in this moment of social distancing and other anti-transmission precautions, what types of food precautions should we be following? Is takeout safe to order?

Thus far, experts have said there isn’t any reason to believe the coronavirus can be spread through food. But what about the containers and bags that takeout enters our homes in? |||READ MORE …

KNOW YOUR WALK TYPE

Some school of thought submits “dress the way you would want to be addressed”. Good one. But let me shock you with this, if I may; it’s now a research fact that the way you walk also has a lot to do with your health and personality.

“Momentary Characterizations” about your walk pattern is associated with persons of poor health, sudden or organized intent to either keep to a given rule, satisfy self or a group of persons. Persons that fall within this category are often on a mission of some sort. E.g.  Drunkards and the sick belong here. Perhaps, we should kick it off from here as we highlight walk types considered mostly as health induced:

1. THE WRAPPED UP IN THOUGHT.  Persons in this category can’t walk around without simultaneously buried in thought. They’re always prone to all kind of risks while walking. To them, as long as their movement is unhindered nothing else in the world matters |||READ MORE …

BEST FORTS OF RAJASTHAN AND THE GOLDEN TRIANGLE

The main highlight of my month in Northern India was absolutely the forts. I don’t even need to think about it.

The hill forts of Rajasthan, an arid desert state in the northwest of India, were particularly impressive, and of the historical places in Rajasthan that we visited, it is the forts that impressed us the most.

The grandeur of the forts of Rajasthan invoke a time of majesty and power, when Rajput Kingdoms stretched over Rajasthan |||READ MORE ….

Seafood Curry For Dinner

I woke up early yesterday morning, 31st day MCO. I went out to check the sky. I unlock the gate and look up and down the street in front of my house. It was empty and very quiet. I have to be alert to my surrounding. I quickly took a few snapshots of the sunrise and went back into the house again |||READ MORE …

Not exactly essential shopping! Britons still flock to the shops to pick up bins, veg grow bags and the odd drone after police said only food, newspapers and vital tools are allowed

Here are the best and worst performing Senators for February

Imagine having a sitting senator advocate for the rehabilitation of ex-Boko Haram members into society, and a bill seeking to grant immunity on members of both states and federal legislature passing second reading at the House of Representatives. If passed into law, it would be difficult to prosecute indicted lawmakers while in office. Here’s how we ranked senators this month

10. Senator Ibrahim Gaidam

Senator Ibrahim Gaidam, sponsor of the bill that seeks to establish an agency for the rehabilitation of repentant Boko Haram members, has said his goal is to reintegrate such persons into mainstream politics in Nigeria. The rehabilitation of ex-Boko Haram terrorists isn’t news anymore, bur Gaidam’s seeming resolve to push this bill is an indication of misplaced priorities.

9. Senator Aishatu Dahiru

The town of Garkida in northeastern Nigeria was recently attacked by Boko Haram, and a number of buildings were burned, including the church building for Ekklesiyar Yan’uwa. As such, Senator Aishatu Dahiru cited Orders 42 & 52 and moved a motion on the insurgent attack on Garkida, a town in Gombi Local Government Area of Adamawa. Dahiru urged the Chief of Army Staff to establish a military command base in the town, and for NEMA to urgently assess the extent of damage and provide relief materials to communities affected |||READ MORE …

This shocking footage shows a car park which may be the busiest in the world, with drivers forced to push their vehicles out of their space like a 'giant puzzle game' because they are crammed in so tightly.

Hundreds of motorists pile into the free facility in the Chatuchak area of Bangkok, Thailand, every day to avoid paying charges in nearby car parks.
