Without supplying evidence, Trump says China has more coronavirus deaths than the U.S.

WASHINGTON — President Trump claimed on Friday that China was minimizing the number of deaths it has suffered from the coronavirus, disputing figures that showed the United States had suffered more fatalities from the disease.

According to a reputable coronavirus tracking tool compiled by the Johns Hopkins University, there have been more than 36,000 deaths in the United States from COVID-19, the respiratory disease caused by the coronavirus. The number of reported deaths in China, where the pandemic originated in December 2019, currently stands at 4,632.

As the coronavirus continues to spread, restaurants across the country are shutting their doors to dine-in customers (and sometimes being forced to do so). Every place from P.F. Chang’s to Chipotle is sending out emails to patrons offering free delivery and ensuring guests that they are taking proper precautions to adhere to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention coronavirus containment guidelines. Africans have become targets of suspicion, distrust and racism in China and now authorities have ordered bars and restaurants not to serve clients who appear to be of African origin.

Surviving in these COVID-19 times

It is 2020 and this year has been brutal so far for so many. As I sit here writing, we are going through a pandemic that has people dying and people holding on to their lives. I won't try to explain COVID-19 because I assume we have all heard enough and understand the risks and the current impact of the virus. 107-year-old woman is oldest survivor of coronavirus

A 107-year old Dutch woman has recovered from the coronavirus, and is believed to be the oldest survivor of the pandemic in the world.

Cornelia Ras fell ill on March 17, the day after her 107th birthday, Dutch newspaper AD reported, after attending a church service with other residents of her nursing home on Goeree-Overflakkee, an island in the southwest of the country.

An ambulance service worker has been arrested for stealing face masks to sell online for exorbitant prices.

The man in his 20s is accused of taking other protective items from medical centres across north London. Staff tipped off officers after noticing their equipment stores had been depleted.
